Location: NSW (regional, can relocate or DIDO/FIFO Monday-Friday - home every weekend)
We are seeking a director level Project Controls professional to provide executive leadership across cost, schedule, risk, change control, and performance reporting on one of Australia’s most complex infrastructure programs.
This is a critical leadership role responsible for governing project predictability, performance integrity, and decision-quality across a large, multi-party delivery environment. You will lead the integrated PMO function and act as a trusted advisor to executive and board-level stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities of the PMO Director include
- Own executive accountability for cost, schedule, risk, change, and performance governance
- Set and enforce baselines, forecasting standards, and controls discipline
- Provide a single, defensible view of project performance to senior leadership and boards
- Lead earned value, trend, productivity, and cost-to-complete oversight
- Drive risk-integrated forecasting, scenario planning, and recovery strategies
- Govern change and trend management, ensuring impacts are quantified and embedded
- Convert complex data into clear executive insight and decisive action
- Build and lead a high-performance Project Controls leadership team
- Senior leadership experience in Project Controls, Project Management, or Commercial leadership
- Proven experience leading large, multidisciplinary teams on major infrastructure or energy projects
- Deep expertise across cost control, planning & scheduling, EVM, risk, and change management
- Proven experience leading large, multidisciplinary teams on major infrastructure or energy projects
- Strong commercial awareness in construction environments
- Exceptional executive communication and stakeholder influence skills
