With a strong reputation for creating environments that enrich learning, living, and community outcomes, the business continues to grow and is seeking a creative and detail-driven Pre-Construction Coordinator to join its Newcastle team.
The Role Reporting to the Pre-Construction Manager, this position plays a pivotal role in shaping the early phases of commercial and community-focused construction projects. Sitting between Contracts Administration and Project Management, it’s the ideal opportunity for someone looking to step into a more strategic, client-facing position. You’ll support project planning, stakeholder coordination, and contract preparation—helping to bring purposeful, meaningful developments to life.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing and coordinating tender packages, design documentation, and early works planning.
- Support scope development, cost planning, and programming activities.
- Liaise with architects, consultants, and client representatives to ensure design intent and compliance requirements are met.
- Review and interpret DA conditions, BCA compliance, and sector-specific regulatory frameworks.
- Coordinate value engineering workshops, design reviews, and risk assessments.
- Prepare and maintain preliminary budgets, procurement schedules, and risk registers.
- Assist in preparing Design & Construct contracts, including consultant agreements and scopes of work.
- Ensure adherence to WHS legislation, company processes, and industry standards.
- Contribute to client-side reporting, governance documentation, and stakeholder briefings.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related discipline.
- 3–5 years’ experience as a Contracts Administrator or similar role within construction.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, ProCore, and EstimateOne.
- Strong communication, conceptual thinking, and creative problem-solving skills.
- Confident presenting to and collaborating with clients and external consultants.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, priorities, and project workflows concurrently.
- Base salary: AUD 140,000–160,000 + Super
