Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Procurement Coordinator to join our team at our Sydney Olympic Park facility.
About the Role
Reporting to the Head of Manufacturing, the Procurement Specialist will be responsible for managing end-to-end procurement activities to ensure the timely and cost-effective supply of materials and components required for manufacturing operations.
This is a hands-on role suited to a proactive professional who enjoys building strong supplier relationships and maintaining optimal stock levels in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor stock levels and identify current and future purchasing requirements
- Source, research, and evaluate potential vendors to ensure quality, cost, and reliability
- Maintain strong, professional relationships with existing suppliers and key stakeholders
- Prepare and issue purchase orders in line with company policies and procedures
- Follow up with suppliers to confirm order status, delivery schedules, and resolve issues
- Track orders and ensure timely delivery to meet manufacturing and project deadlines
- Work closely with internal teams including Manufacturing, Engineering, and Finance
- Assist with supplier performance reviews and continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company standards and regulatory requirements
- Proven experience in a procurement or purchasing role, ideally within manufacturing, engineering, construction or infrastructure-related industries
- Strong supplier negotiation and relationship management skills
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- High attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities
- Proficient in ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative working style
