Position:   Procurement Manager
Duration:  6 month contract (possible extension and/or lead to permanent)
Project:    Tender phase for major energy project
Location:  Sydney 

Opportunity for Procurement Manager to work on a large-scale energy project tender, based in Sydney.

As the Procurement Manager you will lead and manage all civil procurement activities through the tender/RFT stage, including:
  • Manage and oversee all civil procurement activities during the tender phase
  • Chair weekly procurement meetings with the procurement, construction, and estimation teams
  • Develop and manage the Procurement Schedule to meet project milestones
  • Engage and pre-qualify major suppliers and subcontractors suitable for large civil packages
  • Liaise with the local ICN Network to attract and develop local supply chain participation
  • Conduct town hall events with regional suppliers and subcontractors
  • Prepare ITT documentation in conjunction with the construction and estimating teams
  • Issue ITTs to market and manage the full tender process
  • Ensure quotations are received on time; compile and analyse quotation evaluations
  • Lead Best and Final Offer negotiations on major packages
  • Attend final debrief and de-plugging reviews with estimation and construction teams
What you can bring as the Procurement Manager
  • 10-15 years' procurement experience in major civil and/or infrastructure ($1bn+) within Tier 1 environment. 
  • Ideally have overseen procurement through tender phase
  • Strong understanding of procurement principles, strategies, and Australian industry standards
  • Experience in the Transmission & Distribution sector is highly regarded 
  • Excellent negotiation, contract management, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to build and manage relationships with local and national supply chains
  • Experience engaging with local industry networks (e.g. ICN)
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and procurement software
