We are seeking an experienced Procurement / Commercial professional to support a major Design & Construct (D&C) stadium project. This role sits within a dedicated bidding office and plays a key part in end-to-end tender preparation, package procurement, and commercial analysis across multiple concurrent bids.
You will work closely with construction, estimating, and commercial teams to ensure trade packages are competitively procured, commercially sound, and aligned with program and delivery objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage hands-on procurement across up to 20 trade packages
- Issue tender packages to market and coordinate supplier engagement
- Liaise with construction and delivery teams to arrange supplier meetings and clarifications
- Conduct commercial analysis including cost comparisons, valuations, and bid assessments
- Review and interpret conditions of offer, inclusions/exclusions, and scope alignment
- Support bid strategy development including options analysis and risk evaluation
- Assess productivity impacts and program implications of subcontractor selections
- Track and manage tender schedules, submissions, and procurement timelines
- Deliver cost analysis and benchmarking to ensure best value outcomes
- Contribute to end-to-end bid submissions (targeted for end of July)
- Maintain strong awareness of market conditions and local trade capabilities
- Ensure alignment with project sensitivities, including preference for local subcontractors where required
- Support external valuation and commercial reporting requirements

- Based in a Melbourne bidding office
- Fast-paced tender environment with multiple concurrent bids
- Strong background in construction procurement or commercial management
- Experience handling multiple trade packages simultaneously
- Confident in cost analysis, commercial evaluation, and bid preparation
- Strong numerical and analytical capability
- Understanding of construction programs, productivity, and sequencing impacts
- Ability to manage complex supplier and subcontractor negotiations
- Strong market awareness and supplier network knowledge
- Comfortable working in a high-pressure, deadline-driven bidding environment
- Initial 10-week engagement with potential extension across additional projects
