Our client is an Australian-founded, international furniture brand creating timeless, sustainable designs that celebrate craftsmanship and longevity. They're looking for a Product Manager
to join the growing team and lead the development of the product range from concept through to market launch.
The Role
In this role, you’ll be responsible for analysing the performance of the current product range while overseeing the entire lifecycle of new product development. From ideation and design to prototyping and integrating into the supply chain, you’ll ensure that each product aligns with their slow fashion ethos - prioritising deliberate, careful development and sustainable practices.
You’ll work closely with independent designers and partner teams globally, managing the briefing process, reviewing designs, ensuring manufacturability, and delivering successful, high-quality projects. Your design eye and understanding of engineering and production will be key to shaping products that reflect our brand’s vision and can be manufactured to the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse and report on the performance of existing product ranges, identifying opportunities for refinement or expansion.
- Oversee the full product development lifecycle: concept, design, prototyping, testing, production, and launch.
- Collaborate closely with independent designers and partner teams, providing clear briefs and guiding designs to meet project goals.
- Ensure new products align with sustainable values and can be engineered and manufactured effectively.
- Manage timelines, budgets, and supplier relationships to ensure smooth development and delivery.
- Work alongside marketing, operations, and sales teams to ensure successful product launches.
- Stay ahead of market trends and customer needs to inform future product direction.
- Proven experience in product management or buying within furniture, homewares, or a related design-driven industry.
- Strong design sensibility with the ability to assess aesthetics, functionality, and manufacturability.
- Experience managing designers and guiding creative development processes.
- Understanding of sustainable and ethical production practices.
- Excellent project management, communication, and supplier negotiation skills.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work across internal teams and external partners.
- Be part of a purpose-led brand creating sustainable, heirloom-quality furniture.
- Influence and shape a diverse product portfolio in an international market.
- Work in a collaborative, design-focused environment with a commitment to slow fashion principles.
- Opportunity for career growth and involvement in high-impact projects.
