Design & Build have partnered with a builder specialising in the delivery of wholesale detached housing and townhomes across the Melbourne region. They set the standards with their delivery, and have an exciting year ahead with a number of projects in the pipeline.
Given their success and ongoing work, they are looking to bring on an Estimator to their team that holds medium-density experience and most importantly a positive attitude.
About the Role:
- Complete small take offs and collate tender pricing
- Analyse, negotiate and revise inclusions with trade and contractor pricing
- Ensure the efficient and accurate production of building estimates
- Check contract plans for accuracy prior to release for construction
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders
- Complete quantity take-offs for building materials & labour
- Compile and issue purchase orders
- Perform estimating associated administrative duties
- Experience working on Medium-Density projects (Townhouses)
Demonstrated experience as an estimator within residential construction (volume experience suitable) - Ability to prioritise work, manage timeframes and hit deadlines
- Strong communication skills
- Sound knowledge of the construction process and industry standards
- Proficiency with Databuild and PlanSwift
