The Opportunity This role is ideal for a commercially minded development professional who enjoys taking projects from concept through to investment-ready assets.
As a senior member of the development team, you will be responsible for advancing utility-scale projects through all phases of development, from site origination and approvals to investment readiness.
Key Responsibilities
- Strong focus on land acquisition, scouting land, lease agreement negotiations, scouting business opportunities and developing relationships with land owners.
- Business development - you will be the primary point of contact for developing greenfield projects, securing new sites and building relationships and creating a positive brand name.
- Lead projects through the full development lifecycle, ensuring timelines, budgets, and commercial objectives are achieved.
- Manage all approval pathways, including planning, environmental assessments, cultural heritage, and other statutory requirements.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary internal teams and external advisors across engineering, planning, grid, legal, and commercial workstreams.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with landowners, local councils, government bodies, regulators, and community stakeholders.
- Support investment decision-making through financial analysis, due diligence processes, and preparation of investment committee materials.
