The Role
We are seeking a motivated and hands-on Project Engineer to join our team on a full-time permanent basis. Reporting to the Engineering / Operations Manager, you will be responsible for managing engineering projects from concept through to completion, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to specification.
This role will suit an engineer who enjoys working closely with production, suppliers, and stakeholders in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage engineering and manufacturing projects from initial design through to commissioning and handover
- Coordinate internal resources, contractors, and suppliers to ensure successful project delivery
- Develop project plans, schedules, budgets, and risk assessments
- Provide technical support to production and operations teams
- Ensure compliance with Australian Standards, safety, and quality requirements
- Liaise with customers, vendors, and external stakeholders as required
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, reports, and drawings
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across processes and systems
- Degree-qualified in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
- Proven experience in a project engineering role within a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Strong project management, organisational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across teams
- Sound knowledge of Australian Standards and WHS requirements
- Proficient in relevant engineering and project management software
