Project Engineer

Design & Build is recruiting an experienced and motivated Project Engineer to join our client’s team on an exciting and landmark multistorey residential new build project on the Gold Coast. You should have previous experience working on similar projects in excess of the value of $100m.
This is a 2-tower development which is the early stages of excavation, the project is due to go on for a couple of years with future projects in the pipeline.
As a Project Engineer, you will play a key role in overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of all aspects of the project.


Responsibilities:
  • Collaborating with the project management team.
  • Develop and implement project plans, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Managing and coordinating all engineering activities, including design, construction, and quality assurance.
  • Ensuring compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations.
  • Conducting regular site walk throughs to monitor progress, identify any potential issues, and ensure adherence to project specifications.
  • Working with other Engineers to ensure the successful completion of the project.
  • Liaising with client, subcontractors, and suppliers to maintain effective communication and resolve any project-related challenges.

What’s Required:

  • A degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience in project engineering within the construction industry, preferably with exposure to large-scale industrial projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, engineering principles, and relevant regulations.
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in project management software and other relevant tools.
