Project Engineer - Procurement

Position:          Technical Procurement Engineer

To support upcoming major energy projects, we have a pretty unique opportunity for a  Project Engineer  to work within the procurement team during the tender phase at as the technical focal point.

You will be involved in major Transmission & Distribution projects - think Renewable Energy Zones, 500kv Substations & Overhead Transmission Lines,

As the Technical Procurement specialist you work closely with multiples teams from estimating, design, planning, sourcing & construction and use your engineering/delivery background to create work packages to take the local & international supplier market in order to get form bids for tenders.

Your expertise will be uses to help decide self perform vs subcontract strategy as well as which suppliers & subcontractor bids you think are best suited from a technical perspective 

This contractor has delivered some of the most complex projects and can offer you the chance to work on the bidding of a number of key projects in Australia's Energy transition.

What you can bring as the Technical Procurement Specialist

• Experience working as a Project Engineer in the energy projects - HV, Substations, Transmission lines.
• Have worked with or have a strong understanding of the national & international procurement / subcontract market
• Strong communication and stakeholder skills as you will be working with and influencing various department
• Willing ness to travel as required
