This role will see you overseeing a portfolio of technically challenging ground engineering and foundation projects across New South Wales.
Reporting to senior leadership, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of multiple projects from tender award through to completion. The position requires a strong focus on safety, programme, cost control, quality, and stakeholder management, while also providing leadership and guidance to engineering teams across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of projects in line with budget, programme, quality, and client expectations.
- Manage commercial and contractual obligations, including variations, claims, progress claims, and payments.
- Plan and coordinate labour, plant, subcontractors, and other project resources.
- Ensure works are delivered in accordance with project specifications, approvals, and relevant industry standards.
- Maintain compliance with safety, environmental, and quality management systems.
- Support tendering, pre-construction planning, and business development initiatives.
- 10 years' industry experience, including exposure to the Australian and/or New Zealand construction markets.
- Minimum 5 years' experience managing ground engineering, geotechnical, foundations, piling, or similar specialist civil projects.
- Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or a related discipline, with formal Project Management qualifications preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to oversee several projects concurrently while maintaining high delivery standards.
- Strong technical knowledge of foundation and ground improvement methodologies.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven ability to build relationships, influence outcomes, and negotiate effectively.
- Sound commercial awareness with experience administering contracts and project finances.
