About the Company
The company delivers medium-density housing and is one of the largest in the state and country for their style of work. The role will be working alongside a talented team of Project Managers, each running a couple of projects with the assistance of a Contracts Administrator.
The Opportunity
As the Project Manager you will be responsible for managing both the client relationship and project delivery through the relevant stages to ensure a smooth handover to the client.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive construction project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Interpret architectural and engineering drawings and specifications.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients to define project requirements.
- Oversee daily construction activities on-site to ensure adherence to plans and timelines.
- Supervise subcontractors, site crews, and suppliers to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and performance standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections and progress reviews.
- Prepare project budgets, forecasts, and cost estimates.
- Monitor expenses, control costs, and manage change orders.
- Approve vendor and subcontractor invoices and ensure proper documentation.
- Act as the main point of contact for clients, consultants, and internal teams.
- Provide regular progress reports and updates to stakeholders.
- Maintain detailed project documentation, including logs, reports, and records.
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a Project Manager for a Head Contractor / Residential Builder in Australia.
- Willingness to travel to various job sites across Adelaide on a weekly basis
- Residential housing experience preferable.
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or Construction Management.
- Knowledge of SA construction market and subcontractors.
- Well-presented with strong communication skills
- Current Drivers' Licence
