With a strong pipeline of secured work and continued growth across the residential sector, they are seeking an experienced Project Manager to take ownership of major developments from early planning through to completion.
The Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for a proven Project Manager to oversee the delivery of premium Class 2 residential projects across Sydney.
You’ll take full responsibility for project delivery: managing program, commercial performance, subcontractors, stakeholder coordination and compliance, while working closely with senior leadership in a supportive, well-structured environment.
This role is ideally suited to someone from a strong pure-builder background with extensive apartment construction experience and a deep understanding of NSW Class 2 compliance requirements.
The Role
Reporting to senior leadership, your responsibilities will include:
- Managing all phases of Class 2 construction projects from pre-construction through to handover
- Developing and monitoring project programs, budgets and construction schedules
- Coordinating subcontractors, consultants, suppliers and site teams
- Managing procurement, contracts, variations, progress claims and cost control
- Ensuring compliance with NCC, NSW Class 2 legislation, WHS and QA standards
- Overseeing build quality, defect prevention and rectification processes
- Liaising with architects, engineers, certifiers, authorities and key stakeholders
- Identifying and managing project risks, delays and compliance issues
- Leading project meetings, reporting and successful project handover processes including OC approvals
- Degree-qualified in Construction Management, Engineering or a related discipline
- Proven experience delivering Class 2 apartment developments, ideally around the $50M+ range
- Strong understanding of NCC, Design & Building Practitioners Act, waterproofing and defect prevention standards
- Strong commercial acumen with experience managing budgets, contracts and project financials
- Excellent leadership and subcontractor management capability
- Experience using platforms such as Procore, Aconex or Microsoft Project highly regarded
- Pure builder background preferred with strong technical delivery capability
- Salary package up to $275,000 total package, depending on experience
