Are you an experienced Project Manager with a background in piling and ground improvement works
? This is an opportunity to join a leading civil engineering contractor delivering complex and high-value infrastructure projects across Queensland.
About the Role As Project Manager, you will take ownership of the successful delivery of piling and ground engineering projects from tender through to completion. You’ll oversee all aspects of project performance, including client engagement, commercial management, program scheduling, and the leadership of site teams.
You’ll be managing high-value and technically challenging projects
, such as:
- Multi-level basements in clay, sand, or rock with extensive retention and foundation piles.
- Large-scale commercial, industrial, and residential developments with deep excavation and shotcrete walls.
- Flood reconstruction and landslip remediation packages involving micro piles, steel casings, and ground anchors.
- Complex capping beams, edge beams, and ground beams for infrastructure and subdivision projects.
- Piling and foundation works for transport infrastructure including bridges, roads, and rail.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end project delivery within piling and ground improvement sectors.
- Lead project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Drive strong client relationships and manage project stakeholders.
- Monitor project budgets, contracts, and commercial performance.
- Oversee site teams to ensure work is delivered safely, on time, and to specification.
- Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Tertiary qualifications in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering (or similar).
- Proven experience as a Project Manager within piling, foundations, or ground engineering.
- Strong knowledge of construction methodologies and project lifecycle management.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and deliver outcomes within tight timeframes.
- Work on technically challenging, high-value projects in piling and ground improvement.
