Design & Build are seeking an experienced  Project Manager / Contract Administrator to join a growing residential builder delivering high-quality, architecturally designed homes across Melbourne. Over the past few years, our client has built a strong reputation for the calibre of their work, and with an exciting pipeline ahead, they’re looking for someone to join the business and help drive their projects forward.

You’ll work alongside a team of project coordinators, contributing to the delivery of new builds and renovations/extensions valued up to $6m. The business promotes a collaborative culture that encourages professional growth, knowledge-sharing, and upskilling – and they’re looking for someone who shares that mindset.

This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in high-end residential construction who is ready to take the next step in their career.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage end-to-end delivery of multiple high-end residential projects, ensuring excellence in time, cost, and quality.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure alignment and clear communication throughout each project.
  • Preparing, reviewing, and managing subcontractor and supplier agreements
  • Maintaining accurate project documentation, including contracts, variations, and correspondence
  • Monitoring project costs, tracking budgets, and providing regular financial reports
  • Create and maintain detailed project schedules, identifying and resolving potential delays proactively.
The ideal candidate:
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in residential construction.
  • Experience delivering architecturally designed homes valued $3m+.
  • Strong technical and commercial knowledge of the residential construction process.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organisational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Confident communicator who thrives in a collaborative, close-knit team environment.
  • Systems and process driven mindset, with a focus on efficiency and continuous improvement.
