Procurement Manager – Renewable Energy Projects
A leading global EPC is actively seeking a Procurement Manager
to oversee procurement activities on a major BES project. With a strong foundation in large-scale infrastructure and energy projects, this organization has the backing and resources required to influence renewable projects across APAC.
Role Overview
Lead the end-to-end procurement and supply chain function on a high-value EPC project, ensuring that sourcing, contract management, expediting, and logistics are executed with precision and alignment to project milestones. The position will require close coordination with both internal teams and external stakeholders to manage the procurement of complex electrical systems and components.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the procurement lifecycle for EPC-level infrastructure, including sourcing, vendor evaluation, contracting, logistics, and supplier quality activities.
- Manage procurement schedules in line with overall project delivery timelines and financial targets.
- Liaise with internal departments (engineering, development, cost control, project delivery) and international offices to streamline communication and approval workflows.
- Conduct supplier identification, pre-qualification, and tender processes in alignment with technical and commercial requirements.
- Support contract negotiations with vendors and subcontractors, aiming for optimal value, risk mitigation, and delivery assurance.
- Oversee compliance with procurement policies, contract terms, and regulatory obligations throughout project execution.
- Monitor supplier performance and maintain active oversight of delivery timelines, quality assurance inspections, and document handovers.
- Collaborate with the engineering team on defining specifications and ensuring alignment between technical documentation and procurement needs.
- Feed pricing and supplier data into early-stage project estimation and cost modelling.
- Manage purchase orders, subcontract agreements, and change orders in coordination with commercial and legal teams.
- Proactively resolve delivery issues, supply chain disruptions, or vendor-related concerns.
