Role and client Overview:
Our client is a long-standing utilities and infrastructure contractor with a strong focus on water, pump stations, wastewater & water supply construction, maintenance & service.
Due to an increase in projects, they now need an Project Manager to join their construction team.
Projects vary from $5 million to $15 million.
This role supports high-complexity, high-value Tier 1 infrastructure projects, often interfacing with Sydney Water, Water NSW, or major contractors. The Project manager manages multi-disciplinary construction inputs, oversees the end-to-end design lifecycle, and liaises closely with internal stakeholders, clients, and site teams to ensure best-for-project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as Project Manager on Tier 1 or Tier 2 projects with civil/mech/struct integration
- Manage the project lifecycle from sales handover through to completion
- Manage progress claims, variations & project management
- QA/QC and verification of engineering documents to utility standards
- Engage directly with clients and Tier 1 builders on technical matters
- Contribute to capability uplift and process standardisation
- Manage external and internal stakeholders
Selection Criteria.
- 10+ years of relevant site experience, including D&C delivery
- Strong background in Tier 1 or Tier 2 projects
- Deep technical knowledge in civil infrastructure, mechanical piping, or structural concrete within the water industry
- Capable of verifying and signing off on engineering deliverables to major authority standards
- Strong commercial and stakeholder management acumen
- Two recent references
