About the client and culture.
Our client is a family-owned contractor with over 60 + years in the industry.
They are a multiple vertical-based business across Civil, Demo &
Due to newly landed Civil construction projects, they are seeking an experienced project manager to assist the growth of their Demo and civils business.
The role is sitting within their senior team and can grow into senior leadership.
Day-to-day duties and responsibilities.
- Oversee project delivery, planning, and budgeting for the full scope of projects.
- Review and maintain the Project Management Plan, Project Risk Assessment, Safety Plan, Quality Plan, and Environmental Plan.
- Ensure full Contract requirements are reviewed/understood and met (in conjunction with the CA, who would also be under your management for project control).
- Establish an appropriate budget, program, and maintain production records to properly deliver the defined scope of work whilst developing cost-effective solutions to complex civil/demolition delivery problems.
- Complete and submit on time all Project reporting, including costing reports and project delivery reviews.
- Participate in the selection of project personnel to ensure they carry out their respective duties and responsibilities to achieve performance objectives.
- Review and implement safe work method statements and risk assessments before commencing work (in conjunction with HSEQ Manager)
- Ensure project/site safety plans are issued to subcontractors and ensure they issue their safe work method statements and risk assessments for review before they commence work (in conjunction with the HSEQ Manager)
- Manage the Contract, including all notifications, variations, and claims (in conjunction with the CA).
- Administer and monitor subcontractor performance to ensure that the subcontractor’s technical, program, quality, environmental, industrial, safety, and commercial obligations are achieved and maintained.
- Oversee and control the Project purchasing activities by maintaining clear & precise cost tracking/coding.
- Ensure environmental controls and reporting are implemented and maintained on all projects in accordance with all contract/client requirements.
- Establish project-specific production targets for all Supervisors, project estimators, and project managers on the Project to align individual performance with the overall Project budget and schedule.
