This is an immediate start contract opportunity offering with an initial 3–9 month duration through to project peak in October.
The project is backed by a well-established contractor delivering large-scale commercial and infrastructure works across Perth, with a strong focus on performance, efficiency, and team collaboration.
About the Role: As Purchasing Officer, you’ll support end-to-end procurement and materials coordination, working closely with the Materials Superintendent and site teams. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who can work autonomously and make an immediate impact.
You’ll be reporting directly to Chris Robertson, in a fast-paced, no-nonsense environment where you’ll be trusted to get the job done.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage purchasing and procurement across project requirements
- Coordinate materials and supplier engagement with site teams
- Work closely with the Materials Superintendent and internal stakeholders
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of orders and procurement tasks
- 5+ years’ experience in purchasing or procurement (construction/infrastructure preferred)
- Strong understanding of supply chains within project environments
- Experience using Oracle or similar systems
- Smartplant / SP Map experience highly regarded but not essential
- Able to work independently and take ownership of your role
- Confident communicator with a direct, solutions-focused approach
- Perth project experience highly desirable
- Monday-Friday: 10-hour days (approx. 50 hours per week preferred)
- Minimum 3 days on site + 2 days office
- Site SOR, office in CBD
- Immediate start
