The Opportunity
Our client is a well-established Australian manufacturing business with a strong reputation for quality, operational excellence, and long-term growth. Operating within a fast-paced production environment, they are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to lead site quality and food safety functions while continuing to strengthen quality culture across the operation.
This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for someone who enjoys being highly visible on the floor, building capability within teams, and driving continuous improvement across both systems and behaviours.
The Role Reporting into site leadership, you will take ownership of the site Quality Management System and lead the QA function across manufacturing operations.
You will work closely with Production, Operations, and Technical teams to ensure food safety and quality standards are consistently maintained, while also driving engagement and accountability across the wider business.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the site QA team
- Maintain and improve quality and food safety systems
- Drive a positive and proactive quality culture across the site
- Manage internal, external, and customer audit processes
- Partner closely with Operations to embed QA into daily manufacturing activities
- Analyse quality trends and implement continuous improvement initiatives
- Support training and capability development across the workforce
- Ensure compliance with all relevant food safety, GMP, and regulatory requirements
About You You are anexperienced QA professional with a strong background in FMCG or manufacturing environments. You combine technical expertise with practical leadership and are confident engaging with stakeholders across all levels of the business.
You will bring:
- Previous experience in a QA leadership role within manufacturing or FMCG
- Strong understanding of food safety and quality systems
- Experience managing audits and customer standards
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- A proactive, hands-on approach to continuous improvement
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Food Science or a related discipline highly regarded
