The Role
As a Reliability Engineer, you will be instrumental in improving the reliability and performance of plant equipment and systems, particularly rotating machinery, within a fast-paced industrial manufacturing environment. You will lead and support initiatives that minimise downtime, enhance safety, and optimise asset life-cycle performance.
Key Responsibilities
- As a Reliability Engineer you will develop and implement reliability strategies to improve equipment performance and reduce unplanned downtime.
- This Reliability Engineer will conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) on equipment failures.
- As the Reliability Engineer you'll drive continuous improvement in maintenance practices, planning, and execution.
- This Reliability Engineer will work closely with Maintenance, Production, and Engineering teams to develop and refine maintenance strategies.
- Champion reliability-focused KPIs related to availability, performance, and cost.
- The Reliability Engineer will ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Provide technical expertise on rotating equipment including pumps, gearboxes, motors, and compressors.
- Contribute to long-term asset planning and capital project development.
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- Proven experience in a reliability or maintenance engineering role within an industrial manufacturing environment.
- Strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience with rotating equipment.
- Sound understanding of reliability principles, condition monitoring, and predictive maintenance technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Effective communicator who thrives in a cross-functional team environment.
