I’m currently working with one of Brisbane’s highly regarded developer-builders to find an experienced Safety Advisor to join their team on a landmark 25+ storey luxury apartment development.
This is a business with a strong reputation for delivering some of Brisbane’s most impressive residential projects, backed by a healthy pipeline of future developments across South East Queensland.
You’ll be joining a well-established team, working on a project with approximately two years of construction remaining, giving you the stability of a long-term project while also having plenty of opportunity to move onto future developments within the business.
The Opportunity You’ll be site-based on a 25+ storey luxury high-rise apartment development, working closely with the Project Manager, site team, subcontractors and senior leadership to ensure safety remains a genuine priority throughout delivery.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys being on site, building strong relationships and taking a practical approach to HSE — rather than simply ticking boxes.
What You'll Be Doing
- Partner closely with project teams, subcontractors and senior management to drive positive safety outcomes.
- Conduct regular site inspections, audits, risk assessments and incident investigations.
- Deliver site inductions, toolbox talks and ongoing safety training.
- Support the implementation and continuous improvement of WHS systems and procedures.
- Review SWMS and ensure high-risk construction activities are appropriately controlled.
- Monitor compliance with WHS legislation, company standards and project requirements.
- Build strong relationships across the site team and encourage a proactive safety culture.
- Provide practical, solutions-focused advice to help the project team deliver safely and efficiently.
- Proven experience as a Safety Advisor
- Previous experience across high-rise, residential or commercial construction.
- Strong understanding of WHS legislation, risk management and contractor engagement.
- Confident communicator who can build genuine relationships across a project team.
- Practical, proactive and solutions-focused approach to safety.
- Comfortable working autonomously while being part of a collaborative HSE and construction team.
- Someone who takes pride in their work and wants to build a long-term career, rather than simply move from project to project.
- Up to $210,000 package, dependent on experience.
