Our client, a reputable Tier 3 construction company is seeking a Safety Officer based in the Greater Brisbane area to support multiple commercial and industrial D&C projects.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience in site-based safety roles within the commercial construction sector, ideally across projects valued over $10M. Exposure to live construction environments involving structural works, cranes, and high-risk activities is highly regarded.
The Role
- A roving position where you’ll play a key role in supporting site teams across multiple projects
- Conducting regular site safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments
- Supporting site teams to maintain compliance with WHS legislation and company systems
- Promoting a strong safety culture through engagement and training
- Assisting in incident investigations and reporting
- Liaising with subcontractors and site personnel to ensure safe work practices
- Previous experience in commercial and/or industrial construction projects
- Thrives in dynamic site environments and enjoys a role that keeps them moving.
- Ability to work in a roving capacity across various Brisbane sites
- Relevant safety qualifications (Cert IV WHS or equivalent)
- Strong communication skills and a hands-on approach
