About the role and key responsibilities
- Working within a small estimating team.
- Reviewing tenders with Project Manager and/or Operations Manager including risk analysis prior to commencing any tender.
- Obtain and review supplier and sub-contractor quotations.
- Provide estimated in-house labour costs.
- Cost analysis based on all quotations received.
- Providing detailed estimates and agreeing tender mark-up prior to submission with Project Manager and/or Operations Manager.
To be successful in this role you will need:
- Minimum 2 years experience estimating Telecommunications &/or Security systems and Access Control up to $3m.
- Familiarity with financial and project management principles.
- Have an excellent understanding of Security & Telecommunications projects & programs.
- Understanding of estimating software.
- Able to determine key variables for costs including preliminaries.
- Have excellent numerical skills and an analytical mindset.
- Be able to gather first-hand information from sites as required.
- Ability to be able to continually research labour and material costs.
- Experience collating detailed and informative tenders.
- On-going research into all stakeholders tendering and final award.
- Ability to build relationships with clients and supply chain.
- Thoroughness, reliability and excellent organization skills.
- Ability to manage your own workload and priorities to meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication & negotiation skills.
