Senior Architect – Residential
$120K–$150K + Super
A leading residential design and construction business is seeking a talented Senior Architect
to take a key leadership role in shaping high-quality, market-focused housing projects across the Greater Geelong region.
You’ll work closely with an established team of 9 in-house drafters, supported by additional offshore drafting resources and a Drafting Manager. This role is very much about big picture design leadership -
interpreting site constraints, market trends, and client needs to create strong, buildable concepts, then guiding the team to deliver them.
The Role
- Translate land sizes, target market insights, and site-specific factors into compelling architectural concepts
- Provide design direction, mentorship, and oversight to a large drafting team
- Ensure output is compliant, practical, and aligned with project goals
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align design solutions with business and client objectives
- Review and approve documentation to maintain design quality
- Registered Architect (or working towards) with around 10 years’ experience
- Background in residential design, ideally volume building
- Strong conceptual design skills and the ability to think strategically
- Experienced in delegating and mentoring, with a collaborative leadership style
- Sound knowledge of local planning regulations and building codes
- $120K–$150K + super
