We’re working with a leading design practice with a strong pipeline of defence sector projects and looking for a Senior Associate to play a key role in their team. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about delivering highly secure, technically complex facilities and is confident navigating the compliance and documentation requirements unique to the defence space.
What You’ll Bring
- Relevant Qualifications – Master’s in Architecture, plus Architectural registration
- Defence Sector Experience – Prior exposure to defense, secure facilities, or government projects highly regarded. Understanding of security clearances and compliance processes is advantageous.
- Technical Skills – Advanced Revit capability, Adobe Suite, 3D modelling software, and a solid grasp of construction standards, codes, and project delivery for secure facilities.
- Leadership & Collaboration – Ability to lead project stages, mentor junior designers, and work effectively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
- Organisation & Problem Solving – Strong project coordination skills, ability to meet milestones, and proactively address technical or resource challenges.
- Lead and coordinate design and documentation across all phases for defense projects, from concept through to delivery.
- Prepare detailed documentation, presentations, and technical drawings to the highest standard, ensuring compliance with security and government requirements.
- Collaborate with internal teams, consultants, and client representatives to deliver efficient and secure project outcomes.
- Contribute to practice culture by supporting and mentoring junior staff and sharing specialist knowledge.
- Act as a key point of contact for project reporting, resourcing, and progress updates.
