This is unique opportunity to be involved in one of the most high profile projects in Australia. With first of its kind engineering solutions and design, this mega project is one the of the most complex and challenging projects in a generation
Like many projects of this size, it has its challenges, so by no means a walk in the park but there is an excellent and committed team on board and the Senior Construction Director is key in driving the delivery.
This is an interstate project and would require relocation, or working away Monday - Friday each week. Given the seniority of the role, either of the 2 options work and company covers all costs (Travel, Accommodation etc)
The role
As the Senior Construction Director you will be directly involved in ensuring the safe and successful delivery works associated with this major project. This role suits someone who has operated as a Project Director for principal contractor on $2bn+ projects or similarly a Construction Director who has proven experience is executing mega projects - either locally or internationally
You will lead the project in terms of construction on all fronts, with several direct "director" level reports - who have large teams below them.
You will bring a background in senior construction roles and comfortable managing multi-billion projects
The requirements
- MSc or MEng in Civil Engineering or equivalent
- 10-15+ years director level leadership experience in major projects
- Specific skills in the delivery and construction of major construction projects (>$2bn) with high levels complexity
- Experience in high risks projects (underground, tunneling, energy, O&G etc) is highly regarded
- Effective communication, ability to influence and challenge
