Interior Designer

Our client represents a portfolio of iconic brands you likely know and love, as they continue to expand and refresh their retail footprint across Australia and internationally, they’re seeking a passionate Interior Designer to join their design team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work across a diverse range of projects, from concept through to construction, designing warm, welcoming and brand-aligned interiors that balance aesthetic impact with commercial viability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute interior design concepts for new store builds, refurbishments, and brand updates across multiple retail environments.
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders including brand, operations, and construction teams to bring retail spaces to life.
  • Interpret brand guidelines into creative, customer-centric environments while maintaining consistency across various franchise locations.
  • Produce detailed drawings, documentation, and specifications for tender and construction.
  • Liaise with external consultants, contractors, and franchise partners to ensure successful project delivery on time and within budget.
  • Stay ahead of design trends, materials, and innovation within the retail/hospitality sector.
What You’ll Bring
  • Degree qualification in Interior Design or Interior Architecture.
  • 5+ years' experience in commercial interior design, preferably within a D+C company with project focus on hospitality, QSR, or retail environments.
  • Strong proficiency in design softwares: AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, and Adobe Creative Suite as you will be working across them on different projects.
  • A sound understanding of construction detailing, documentation, and project lifecycle.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and timelines, with excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • A portfolio that demonstrates both creative flair and technical competency in real-world retail/hospitality design projects.
You’ll join a stable and growing organisation with a legacy of strong brand identity and community presence. This is a hybrid role based in Melbourne, offering the chance to work on impactful projects across Australia. You’ll also be part of a supportive, collaborative team that values innovation and design excellence.
