Senior Electrical Engineer

Position:  Senior Electrical Engineer 
Salary: $160-180k base +
Company:  Tier 1 Contractor
Location:  Sydney 
Project: Major BESS, 150MW up to 400MW

Our client is a global Tier 1 contractor who has just secured new projects across transmission, EHV substations, and renewables, including solar farms, wind farms, and large-scale BESS.

Instead of outsourcing all the electrical design work, they’re investing in growing their internal engineering team to bring that capability in-house.

This created an opportunity for an experienced Electrical Engineer to deliver HV Design for a Major BESS Project in Sydney.

• Work with the Engineering Manager to oversee the engineering activities and technical design aspects of the projects 
• Concept and detailed designs, technical investigations, tender assessment & contract technical specifications
• Analyse electrical system requirements, capacity, cost, and project needs
• Foster a culture of teamwork within the engineering team and across the wider business to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget

• Proven experience as a Senior Electrical Engineer on  major energy projects  (HV/EHV Substations, Transmission Lines, BESS, Solarfarms)
• Proven detailed design experience, ideally in a consulting environment 
• Relevant tertiary qualifications (e.g., BSc Engineering)
• CPEng or eligibility to obtain
• Membership (or eligibility) with a relevant engineering institution (e.g., Engineers Australia)
