Design & Build are currently working with a national and established civil contractor to identify a Senior Estimator to work on large-scale road, water, drainage and subdivision works across Melbourne.
- Lead and grow the internal Estimating team
- Deliver accurate first‑principles bids on infrastructure projects up to ~$20 million
- Help drive commercial decisions to sustainably win and deliver major contracts
- Base salary:$180,000–$200,000 + super & vehicle allowance

You’re an estimator with:
- 10+ years within civil construction and infrastructure-style estimating – water, sewer, roads, earthworks, subdivisions
- Demonstrated first‑principles pricing capability (bottom‑up vs. cost/m² roll‑ups)
- Experience structuring and reviewing subcontractor packages for maximum tender competitiveness
- Excellent local market knowledge (labour, plant availability, trade margins, risk allowances in Victoria)
- Proficiency in Expert Estimator(mandatory) and/or CATS or equivalent estimating tools designandbuild.com.au
- Experience mentoring others and elevating estimating standards
