About the Role:
With an exceptional growth pattern over the past 5 years, they have found themselves in the position of needing a Senior Estimator, and someone that is hungry to make the roles theirs, and take ownership, as you flesh out the estimating functions within the team. The role would be based in the office located approximately 20 minutes north the river, and would see you partake in a mentorship role, whilst ensuring estimations and tender submissions are consistent and correct.
- Estimate Preparation: Develop accurate, transparent, and competitive cost estimates using live rates, historical cost data, BOQs, and subcontractor pricing in line with project scope and risk considerations.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Work collaboratively with Planning, Engineering, and Project Integration teams to ensure estimates align with the construction methodology and overall delivery program.
- Risk Evaluation and Design Review: Apply contingencies, escalation, and risk-based allowances; review drawings for alignment and constructability, and liaise with internal SMEs to identify early-stage risks.
- Bid Leadership and Team Support: Lead complex or high-value tenders, provide mentoring to junior estimators, and maintain consistency through peer reviews and standardised estimating processes.
- Tender Documentation and Handover: Prepare clear submission materials, including methodology statements and clarifications, and support project handover and lessons learned following contract award.
- Previous experience in Estimating in the Civil Construction industry in Western Australia.
- Degree Qualifications in Engineering, Construction Management or similar.
- Strong understanding in Estimation packages and software, and MS Office.
- Excellent communication skills, with a collaborative approach and a commitment to fostering a positive and productive team environment.
- Salary up to $200k + Superannuation (Depending on Experience).
