About the Role
This role sits within the production estimating team and will see you take ownership of complex projects while supporting the wider team to ensure consistency, accuracy, and efficiency across all estimates.
You will be responsible for producing highly detailed BOQs, managing supplier pricing, and ensuring all estimates align with budgets and company standards, while also contributing to continuous improvement across systems and processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate and detailed BOQs for Class 1 residential projects
- Manage more complex builds including custom homes, duplexes and display homes
- Review plans, specifications and documentation to ensure completeness and accuracy
- Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain and validate pricing
- Align estimates with supplier agreements and procurement frameworks
- Prepare purchase orders and ensure estimates remain within budget parameters
- Monitor and review estimating variations (ETS) and provide feedback to improve future performance
- Support and mentor junior estimators, contributing to team capability and output quality
- Act as a key point of contact for estimating-related queries throughout the build lifecycle
- 3-5 years' experience in a similar role
- Strong exposure to Class 1 housing (volume or project home builders highly regarded)
- Solid understanding of construction processes, BOQs and cost structures
- Experience working with estimating systems such as DataBuild, SAP or similar
- Confident communicator with the ability to liaise across internal teams and external stakeholders
- Ability to manage multiple projects and make sound decisions under pressure
