Reporting to the National HSEQ Manager, you'll work closely with project teams to ensure HSEQ systems, processes and documentation are effectively implemented and maintained. You'll provide practical advice, support compliance with legislative and client requirements, and assist in delivering high standards across safety, quality and environmental performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day HSEQ advice and support to project managers, supervisors and site teams.
- Promote a positive safety culture and lead by example.
- Conduct site inspections, audits, workplace observations and compliance reviews.
- Lead incident investigations and support the implementation of corrective actions.
- Facilitate risk assessments, SWMS reviews and project risk management activities.
- Ensure HSEQ documentation remains current, compliant and fit for purpose.
- Support the maintenance of accredited management systems.
- Monitor project HSEQ performance, reporting and KPIs.
- Deliver toolbox talks and provide HSEQ guidance and coaching to site personnel.
- Build strong working relationships with clients, subcontractors and internal stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with relevant WHS legislation, environmental regulations and client requirements.
- Diploma or Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Quality Management or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in an HSEQ Advisor or similar role within the construction industry.
- Strong understanding of Australian WHS legislation, environmental compliance and HSEQ management systems.
- Experience conducting audits, incident investigations and risk assessments.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities with the capacity to manage multiple priorities.
- A proactive approach with a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Current Australian Driver's Licence.
