With a strong pipeline of high-end projects, they’re looking to bring on a Senior Interior Designer
to work closely with their Interior Design Team Leader. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives on collaboration, is confident managing clients, and enjoys mentoring junior talent while still being hands-on with design and documentation.
About the Role:
This is a leadership-level design role that still allows you to be close to the creative. You'll help manage resources across projects, ensure high-quality documentation, and liaise with both internal teams and external consultants. You’ll be joining a close-knit, talented team in a well-established studio based in East Melbourne.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and delivery of multiple hospitality-focused interiors projects
- Collaborate with internal architecture and design teams for integrated outcomes
- Oversee design documentation—drawings, schedules, and specifications
- Build strong client relationships and lead design presentations
- Coordinate with consultants, contractors and suppliers through all project phases
- Support and mentor junior designers
- Maintain strong organisational and time management practices across a busy project schedule
- 8+ years' experience in interior design, ideally with 2+ years in a senior role
- A background in hospitality projects—ideally delivered from concept to construction
- A tertiary qualification in Interior Design, Interior Architecture or similar
- Strong proficiency in Revit and Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication skills—both with clients and within a team
- A driver's licence (site visits may be required)
- Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
