Senior Interior Designer – Conceptual / Client-Facing
Salary:$90k - 110k + super
Location:
Melbourne
Hybrid: Plan your week to suit you -
up to 4 days WFH
We’re partnering with a highly regarded office design and fitout company based in Melbourne, known for delivering dynamic and innovative workplace solutions.
Their team is made up of experienced interior designers, project managers, estimators, and sales professionals, all working collaboratively to create cutting-edge commercial spaces.
This isn’t your typical back-of-house design role. Instead, it’s about pitching, presenting, and selling ideas.
You’ll be the face of design in the early stages of projects, creating concepts, telling the design story, and working closely with clients to win the job.
This role offers real autonomy and flexibility within a supportive and energetic team. It’s a fantastic opportunity for a designer who enjoys thinking on their feet, influencing client decisions, and driving the creative direction from day one.
What’s on offer:
- Hybrid working arrangement
- A genuinely supportive and collaborative team culture
- Extensive training and mentoring to set you up for success
- Complete autonomy in how you approach your projects
- A dynamic and agile business with an employee-first mindset
- Have full autonomy of your projects
- Develop creative, custom design solutions aligned with each client’s needs and aspirations
- Prepare and deliver compelling conceptual design presentations, including mood boards, finishes, material selections, and coordinating with the external rendering team
- Present ideas confidently to clients — bringing them along on the journey and helping them visualise the possibilities
- Collaborate closely with the sales team to support pitches and secure projects
- Take ownership of the early design stages, from concept through to preliminary documentation
- Work efficiently across multiple pitches and deadlines — with plenty of variety day-to-day
- Tertiary qualifications in Interior Design or a related discipline
- Proven experience in workplace or commercial interiors
- Strong conceptual design skills with a passion for client-facing work
- Confident communicator — someone who can present ideas with energy and conviction
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, and InDesign
- Ability to juggle multiple pitches and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
