Senior Project Manager
Design and Build Recruitment are currently working with one of Australia's largest commercial building contractors to find a Senior Project Manager. This is a pivotal role within the business to oversee large scale commercial new build projects valued over $100M and manage the tender process to secure new projects.
As the Senior Project Manager, you’ll be responsible for the successful planning, coordination, and execution of a new construction project. You’ll lead a site-based delivery team, foster strong relationships with stakeholders, and ensure excellence across safety, quality, time, and cost.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage projects from planning through to handover.
- Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
- Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Monitor project progress and performance, implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, regulations, and standards.
- Foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement on site.
- Provide regular reports and updates to senior management and clients.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Proven experience delivering large scale commercial new build projects valued at $50M+.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, methodologies, and best practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively under pressure.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
