The Opportunity
They are looking to appoint a Senior Project Manager for delivery of a high-spec school project in Sydney valued at c. $30M. In this role, you’ll manage complex a complex project which demands strong leadership and high expectations around performance.
Working closely with Directors and delivery teams, you’ll ensure strategic project oversight through to completion, delivering projects with precision, clear communication, and commercial discipline.
The Role
As a key member of senior leadership, your responsibilities will include:
- Leading multi-disciplinary teams to deliver high-quality projects across sectors including retail, education, industrial or hospitality
- Managing project programs, budgets, subcontractors, and procurement under tight commercial control
- Overseeing risk, quality and safety compliance in line with ISO standards and internal protocols
- Building strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams
- Providing regular reporting to senior leadership on progress, financials and risk mitigation
- 5–8+ years of experience in a Senior Project Manager role across commercial, institutional, education or hospitality sectors
- Experience in AS4000 construct only contracts
- Proven ability to manage large-scale, design-led projects from inception to handover
- Strong commercial acumen, with experience managing project P&L, claims, and contract negotiations
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with a collaborative, client-centric mindset
- Experience working within WHS and quality frameworks, including ISO standards
- Salary up to $300,000 + Super, depending on experience
