The Project
This is a unique opportunity to be involved in one of the most high profile projects in Australia. With first of its kind engineering solutions and design, this mega infrastructure project is one the of the most complex and challenging projects in a generation.
Like many projects of this size, it has its challenges, so by no means a straight forward approach with a model project to copy. There is a committed team on board and a Senior Project Manager is key in driving the delivery of the work.
The Job
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of major underground construction packages.
- Drive a strong safety culture across all project activities.
- Manage project budgets, forecasts, cost reporting and financial performance.
- Oversee planning, programming and resource allocation to achieve project milestones.
- Lead commercial management including subcontract administration, procurement, claims and variations.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and key stakeholders.
- Degree qualifications in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
- 15+ years' experience delivering major civil infrastructure projects.
- Previous experience as a Senior Project Manager on tunnelling, underground, mining infrastructure or major civil projects.
- Strong knowledge of drill and blast and/or TBM construction methodologies.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools
- Exceptional commercial and contractual management capability.
- Strong leadership experience managing large multidisciplinary teams.
