About the Role
In this role, you will be responsible for both hands on Revit drafting and formal design certification duties. You will work across a range of residential projects, with a strong focus on duplex developments that require registered designer certification.
You will be expected to ensure all documentation meets relevant standards and compliance requirements, while also taking accountability for sign-off on applicable plans under your registration.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce and develop detailed residential drawings using Revit
- Work across a range of housing projects, with a focus on duplex developments
- Certify and sign off building plans as the registered building designer (as required)
- Ensure all designs comply with relevant building codes, standards, and approval requirements
- Review drawings for accuracy, buildability, and compliance prior to certification
- Maintain high standards of documentation quality and technical detail
- Liaise with internal teams to support smooth progression of projects through design stages
- Must be a Registered Building Designer (NSW) – able to be verified on the official register
- Strong proficiency in Revit(essential)
- Relevant, local experience in a similar role
- Proven experience in residential design and documentation
- Confident in signing off and certifying residential/duplex plans
- Strong understanding of residential building compliance and approval processes (DA/CDC)
- High attention to detail with strong technical drawing capability
- Ability to work within a collaborative, fast-paced drafting environment
