You will oversee the operations, performance, and people management of two Australian showrooms. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll work closely with store teams to drive sales, ensure operational excellence, and deliver a consistently high-quality customer experience that aligns with the brand values.
You'll act as the key bridge between the stores and Head Office, working cross-functionally with customer experience, marketing, product, and logistics to ensure seamless execution of performance targets and retail strategies.
About the role:
- Lead, train and mentor showroom teams in Sydney and Melbourne to drive sales and upskill team
- Develop store reporting metrics & KPIs and provide regular insights to the executive team
- Ensure excellence in day-to-day retail operations across both locations
- Own and execute national retail strategy, including showroom presentation, service standards, and local marketing execution
- Collaborate with Head Office teams (Customer Experience, eCommerce, Marketing, Product, Logistics, Visual Merchandising) to align digital and physical retail efforts
- Analyse store performance and implement initiatives to improve conversion, average order value, and customer satisfaction
- Lead recruitment, training, and performance management for retail teams
- Plan staffing schedules, manage budgets, and ensure efficient resource allocation
- Maintain stock presentation standards and coordinate with supply chain teams on inventory needs
- Oversee in-store events and activations to enhance the customer experience
- Travel between Sydney and Melbourne to maintain strong presence and oversight
- 10+ years’ experience in multi-site retail leadership roles, ideally in homewares, furniture, or lifestyle sectors
- Proven track record of driving retail performance and leading high-performing teams
- Strong commercial acumen with experience interpreting sales data and managing P&Ls
- Passion for customer experience and creating an inspiring in-store environment
- Hands-on leader with the ability to coach, motivate and build culture across locations
- Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced, founder-led environment
- Strong communication skills and experience collaborating with central/head office teams
- Willingness to travel regularly between Sydney and Melbourne
