A growing multidisciplinary engineering consultancy is seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join its Sydney team.
You’ll work on complex building projects, including high-rise and multi-building developments, taking projects from concept through to delivery. You’ll combine hands-on technical design with client interaction, project coordination and mentoring.
The role
- Lead structural design across complex building projects.
- Undertake modelling, analysis, calculations and documentation.
- Design in steel and concrete.
- Work closely with clients, architects, contractors and other consultants.
- Provide technical guidance and mentor junior engineers.
- Attend project meetings and site inspections.
- Review designs and ensure compliance with Australian Standards.
- Contribute to client relationships and business development.
- 7+ years’ structural engineering experience, including 3+ years in Australia.
- Consultancy experience preferred.
- Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Strong steel and concrete design experience.
- Experience across residential, commercial, retail and/or industrial projects.
- Strong knowledge of Australian Standards.
- Proficiency with software such as ETABS, RAM Concept, SPACEGASS, STAND or PLAXIS.
- Strong communication, problem-solving and stakeholder skills.
