Design & Build has partnered with a national multidisciplinary engineering consultancy with an established presence across Australia.
The business works across energy and infrastructure, bringing together specialists across multiple engineering disciplines. You’ll join their dedicated Power Systems & Grid team, working across transmission, renewables, data centre and major infrastructure projects.
This opportunity is ideal for a technically focused Power Systems Engineer who enjoys complex studies, solving challenging network issues and working collaboratively across multidisciplinary projects.

- Deliver power system studies across transmission, generation and renewable energy projects
- Prepare GPS packages and support projects through the grid connection process
- Undertake network modelling and technical assessments
- Solve complex power system and network issues
- Prepare technical reports and engineering deliverables
- Work closely with clients, NSPs and other project stakeholders
- Collaborate with engineering specialists across multiple disciplines
- Support and mentor junior engineers where required
- Experience in power system analysis and grid connection studies
- Strong capability using tools such as PSS®E, PSCAD, DIgSILENT PowerFactory and/or PSS®SINCAL
- Experience across transmission, distribution, renewable energy or major infrastructure projects
- Understanding of the Australian NEM and grid connection process
- Degree qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
- Strong technical communication and report writing skills
