Site Engineer

We are partnering with a prominent national contractor, with operations across Victoria, New South Wales, and Queensland, to find an experienced Site Engineer for their expanding civil business in Far North Queensland (FNQ).

This exciting role, based in Townsville, offers the opportunity to contribute to large-scale Defence and roads & drainage projects, while gaining hands-on experience working with a highly respected contractor in the industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate daily site activities, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
• Manage roads and drainage packages within Defence infrastructure projects.
• Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to maintain smooth operations.
• Monitor and enforce strict safety practices on site, ensuring compliance with all regulations.
• Assist in preparing site reports, daily progress updates, and other documentation as required.
• Provide technical guidance to site teams and ensure work is completed in accordance with design and Australian Standards.
• Contribute to risk management processes and help resolve any issues that arise on-site.

• Australian Citizen(essential for Defence projects).
• A degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• At least 1 year of experience in a site engineering role, in civil infrastructure, roads, or drainage projects.
• Strong understanding of Australian Standards, safety protocols, and environmental regulations.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with teams and stakeholders.
• Organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks with a proactive approach.
• A positive attitude with a strong desire to learn and develop within the civil construction industry.
