The Role
As a Site Engineer, you will play a key role in the delivery of works on site, working closely with the project team to ensure safety, quality, and programme outcomes are met.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting and maintaining safety, quality, and environmental standards on site
- Monitoring construction progress and ensuring compliance with method statements and ITPs
- Managing day-to-day site activities including supervision, productivity tracking, cost control and estimating
- Overseeing procurement and subcontractor management, including claims assessment and governance compliance
- Identifying and escalating risks that may impact programme or delivery
- Ensuring works align with company procedures, legislation, and industry best practice
About You:
- A Bachelor of Engineering (Civil)
- Hands-on site experience in roadworks(earthworks, drainage, pavements) and/or bridgeworks(concrete structures)
- A solid understanding of safety legislation, Australian Standards, and industry codes
- The ability to develop and manage construction programmes, including critical path networks and short-term look-ahead schedules
- Experience with scope management, variations, and contractual processes
- Strong planning, reporting, and stakeholder coordination skills
