An established commercial construction contractor is seeking an experienced Site Manager to deliver a strong pipeline of projects across Tasmania.
The business's bread and butter is fit-out and refurbishment, working across hospitality, office fit-out, education, recreational, and religious buildings, while also delivering select new-build projects. Project values typically range from $1M-$10M, with larger projects delivered up to $30M.
The Role
As Site Manager, you will be responsible for the successful on-site delivery of commercial construction projects, ensuring safety, quality, and program are maintained at all times.
Key responsibilities include:
- Full day-to-day management of site activities from establishment to completion
- Coordination and supervision of subcontractors and suppliers
- Driving OH&S compliance and site safety culture
- Managing construction programs, sequencing, and trade interfaces
- Working closely with the Project Manager and wider delivery team
- Maintaining site documentation, reporting, and defect rectification
You will ideally have:
- Proven experience as a Site Manager within commercial construction
- Strong background in fit-out and refurbishment projects
- Experience delivering projects in live operational environments
- Solid understanding of safety, quality, and construction methodology
- Ability to lead subcontractors and manage multiple trades
- Relevant trade background and/or formal construction qualifications
- Consistent pipeline of commercial work across Tasmania
- Project values generally $1M-$10M, with projects reaching up to $30M
