With projects across Sydney and regional NSW, they are seeking an experienced Site Manager who enjoys taking ownership of projects and is comfortable working away from home when required.
The Opportunity
Due to a growing pipeline of Defence and commercial projects, an opportunity exists for an experienced Site Manager to join the team.
Projects may be located anywhere from Albury–Wodonga through to Newcastle, with opportunities also available across Sydney. The successful candidate must be comfortable with regional assignments and periods working away from home, with accommodation and applicable living away from home allowances provided.
This role will suit a capable Site Manager who thrives in a hands-on environment, enjoys the variety of different project locations and wants to work closely with experienced directors and project teams.
The Role
Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Managing day-to-day site operations from commencement through to completion
- Coordinating subcontractors, suppliers and site personnel across multiple work fronts
- Driving construction programs, sequencing and key project milestones
- Maintaining high standards of safety, quality and environmental compliance
- Managing site logistics, deliveries and access requirements
- Ensuring works are delivered in accordance with drawings, specifications and contractual requirements
- Coordinating with consultants, clients and project stakeholders
- Managing works within live or operational environments where required
- Identifying and resolving site issues, risks and buildability challenges
- Maintaining site records, reporting and quality documentation
- Leading inspections, defect management and project handover
- Proven experience as a Site Manager within commercial, government or Defence construction
- Defence project experience highly preferable, particularly within live or secure environments
- Strong understanding of construction programming, subcontractor coordination and site management
- Experience delivering new-build, refurbishment or technically complex construction projects
- Excellent knowledge of WHS, quality assurance and compliance requirements
- Strong communication and leadership skills with a proactive, solutions-focused approach
- Comfortable working away from home on regional projects when required
- Relevant trade or construction qualifications
- Ability to obtain and maintain required Defence security clearances and site access, where applicable
- Salary up to $200,000 + Super
- Fully maintained vehicle

- Fortnightly flights home Friday - Monday when working on projects away from home
