Site Scheduler – Renewable Energy Infrastructure

Location: Regional New South Wales (FIFO to site)
Roster: 14 days on / 7 days off

Overview
Join a global leader in the renewable energy and infrastructure space, contributing to the delivery of one of Australia's largest energy storage projects.

We are seeking a Site Scheduler to manage the planning and coordination of electrical and mechanical installation activities across the site. This includes the full balance-of-plant scope and integration with critical delivery, construction, and commissioning phases.

Based on-site in regional NSW, this role is key in keeping the project on track by driving transparency, accurate reporting, and forward-looking planning.

Reporting to: Lead Scheduler / General Site Manager

Key Responsibilities
Pre-Construction (Off-site Phase):

  • Develop and maintain a detailed site baseline schedule in Primavera P6 for all field installation activities.
  • Apply resource and cost loading to support cost-to-complete forecasting.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to align deliverables with project milestones.
Construction & Installation (On-site Phase):
  • Maintain real-time updates of the site schedule, ensuring alignment with the overall master schedule and client programme.
  • Monitor progress against plan and track interface milestones (civil works, logistics, subcontractors).
  • Validate subcontractor progress reports and integrate updates into the schedule.
  • Highlight and manage critical path risks; monitor float and buffer consumption.
  • Propose mitigations, recovery strategies, and acceleration measures where required.
  • Support daily and weekly look-ahead planning with the delivery and field teams.
  • Promote a schedule-driven culture on site, partnering closely with project and field supervisors.
Requirements
Education & Qualifications
  • Degree in Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Project Management certification or postgraduate qualifications (e.g. MBA, PMP) are highly desirable.
Skills & Experience
  • 10+ years’ experience in construction scheduling and planning, with at least 5 years in a lead capacity.
  • Strong background in large-scale renewable energy or infrastructure projects.
  • Advanced knowledge of Primavera P6, with experience using Power BI; SAP familiarity is a bonus.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing, commissioning, and interface coordination.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and performance on complex project sites.
Project Context
This position supports the delivery of a nationally significant renewable energy project focused on large-scale storage and dispatchable power for the

Australian National Electricity Market. With thousands of megawatts of capacity and long-term infrastructure impact, this is a rare opportunity to be part of a landmark clean energy development.
