The Opportunity
As part of a long term program of works at a major Sydney university, this builder is seeking an experienced Site Supervisor
to lead the on-site delivery of refurbishment and upgrade projects across the campus. You'll be responsible for managing day-to-day site operations, coordinating trades, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest standards. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive supervisor who thrives in live environments and values clear communication and meticulous attention to detail.
The Role
Reporting to the Project Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing all on-site construction activities to ensure work is completed safely, on time, and to specification
- Coordinating trades, subcontractors, deliveries, and site logistics
- Maintaining strict adherence to build quality and architectural detail
- Enforcing HSEQ compliance and fostering a safe, productive site culture
- Conducting daily site inspections, toolbox talks, and subcontractor meetings
- Liaising with consultants, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to resolve design and buildability issues
- Contributing to look-ahead programs and reporting on site progress
- Trade background in carpentry or equivalent, with solid technical knowledge
- 5+ years of experience in a Site Supervisor role on refurbishment or fit-out projects within live environments
- Proven ability to manage tight programs, intricate finishes, and coordination-heavy sites
- A calm, solution-focused communicator who can lead from the front
- Strong understanding of OHS legislation and construction methodologies
- Eye for quality and the confidence to uphold high standards across all trades
- Salary package up to $140,000 + Super depending on experience
