We are seeking a highly experienced Site Supervisor to oversee the delivery of a high-profile public building fit-out project in Canberra.
You will play a pivotal role in delivering a commercial interior fit out to the highest standards, on time and within budget. This is a hands-on site-based position, reporting to the Project Manager, and responsible for managing daily site operations, coordinating trades, and ensuring strict compliance with WHS and project specifications.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all on-site construction activities from start to finish
- Coordinate and manage subcontractors and trades
- Ensure work is completed to design specifications and quality standards
- Monitor project timeline, materials, and resources
- Enforce site safety, inductions, and compliance protocols
- Liaise with Project Managers, consultants, and client representatives
- Conduct site meetings and prepare progress reports
- Proven experience supervising commercial fit-out or refurbishment projects, ideally in the public/government sector
- Strong knowledge of building codes, WHS regulations, and construction practices
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans
- White Card and relevant trade or building qualifications
- Current driver’s licence and own transport
